  • A sofa draped in a furry throw with red and green cushions by a curtained window

    Individual therapy

For adults who carry the work home. Sessions are 50 minutes, usually weekly at the start, and draw on psychodynamic, somatic and mindfulness-based approaches. We talk about the week, the calls and what the body does with them, in an order you can manage. It is not advice about your job and it is not a report to anyone.

    Somatic Experiencing

A body-based method, taught through Somatic Experiencing International, that follows sensation in small steps. We notice what the body does when something is remembered and let it settle before going further. It does not replace medical care for a physical symptom.

    • Small, paced steps

    Couples therapy

Attachment-focused work for partners, in 80-minute sessions drawing on Emotionally Focused Therapy. Shifts, deployments and hard calls strain a home. Sessions look at the pattern between the two of you rather than at who is right. If anyone is afraid at home, tell Dr. Mason first and she will talk through other kinds of help.

    Grief and loss

Company through a death, a loss on the job, or the loss of a career or an identity. There is no timeline for grief, only time and someone to keep it with. Sessions follow what you want to talk about; there is no set number and no goal to reach.

    • Bereavement

    • Loss of a role

    • No set timeline

    EMDR therapy

EMDR is a structured method for distressing memories, taught through programs approved by the EMDR International Association. Preparation comes first: we spend time building steadiness before any memory is touched, and you can stop at any point. It is not hypnosis, and you stay aware throughout.

    Parts work

A gentle look at the inner parts that protect, criticize and carry old pain, drawing on Internal Family Systems. We build trust with the protective patterns and help hurt parts feel witnessed rather than pushed away.
